Behind These Veiled Doors
In October 2016, Gideon’s opened up its first physical shop at the beautiful East End Market, Central Florida’s original food hall, with one employee (miss you Megan) and an $800 budget. Within weeks of opening, that little 286 square foot bakery was being called Best Cookies in Orlando, Florida, the United States, and the Planet Earth from publications ranging from New York Times to The Boston Globe, Sports Illustrated, Delish.com and countless more. We’ve been featured several times on Insider Magazine, People Magazine, and even made it all the way over to Food Network Brazil!
It’s all been an overwhelming rush of growing pains for a little local business with a single owner, no investors, and tiny staff but, encouraged by our community, we strived to meet demand better and begin to grow. In June of 2020, Gideon’s announced its first Flagship location in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort. With one giant leap, all the doors are open for the future.
The Mission Statement
Gideon’s Bakehouse began in a home kitchen with one goal: to create an extraordinary Chocolate Chip Cookie. Fifteen years and thousands of tests later, the work was complete. Our Cookie isn’t a product. It is a history, the sweet and the salty, the thrill of a first kiss, and the solitude of a heartbreak. Our desserts are emotional, personal, and we want to share our journey with you. We stay true to the original process, cutting no corners, putting every handmade detail into the 20 hours required to prepare a single almost half pound Cookie or a tall slice of Cake. We offer up our best expressions to you with a full-hearted invitation to learn more about one another. It is an opportunity to create an experience to remember. That is our brand.

Original Chocolate Chip
The Gideon’s Original Chocolate Chip is the foundation of who we are, the first child. This recipe took 15 years to perfect and is filled with history. It is packed inside and out with a variety of Chocolates, infused with differing vanillas, and has a texture that might almost trick you into thinking you’re eating Cookie Dough. This Cookie has been named everything from Best in Orlando to Best on Planet Earth and we couldn’t be prouder to hand make it from scratch for you daily.
Peanut Butter Crunch
This Cookie took an extra-long time to perfect! We wanted you to enjoy something that was truly set apart from the standard flavor for a PB cookie. We’re very proud that our Peanut Butter Crunch is perfectly peanut buttery with every bite. Not surprising since the dough is made of mostly peanut butter! It’s topped with our handmade candied peanuts for the perfect amount of crunch. A must for any PB Lover.
Bride of Frankenstein
Created to give companionship to the Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein has returned!! This almost 1/2 pound monster of a Cookie is created in the same mold as the Frank Cookie but features White Chocolate, Golden Oreos, and M&M’s! This Limited Edition Cookie is available for preorder every day of October along with her companion flavor, The Frankenstein!
Please be aware, the Bride of Frankenstein is available only for the month of October. If you choose a pickup date in another month, we will substitute this Cookie with the Limited for that month.

The Frankenstein
One of our most popular and irresponsible Cookie of the Year! The Frankenstein is a Halloween month celebration, made from pieces parts of all the candies you want in your bag, and topped with M&M’s that we lovingly place on the top to be sure you get all the colors. Break it open and you’ll find crushed Oreo Double Stuff and Chocolate Pieces. This Limited Edition Cookie is available for preorder every day of October along with his companion flavor, The Bride of Frankenstein!

The Gideon’s Coffee Cake Cookie is an extra Buttery Vanilla Bean Cookie filled with Cinnamon Strudel and topped with our Homemade Double Baked Butter Crumbs! Buttery. Crunchy. Extraordinary. Previously only available in limited quantities at Gideon’s in Disney Springs each morning, you can now get this popular flavor at the East End Market only with this preorder!

The Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookie is so good it had to become a permanent offering! Enjoy a decadent Vanilla Bean Cookie blended with real Bananas, a mix of Dark and Semisweet Chocolates, Candied Walnuts, and finely crushed Banana Chips. This one-of-a-kind recipe took over 20 years to finalize! It had to be perfect and we’re pretty proud of this beauty!

Bride of Frankenstein Cake
Team Vanilla Fans! We haven’t forgotten about you this year! The Bride Cake is just like the Frankenstein Slice but featuring two layers of our delicate Vanilla Cake sandwiching a single layer of Chocolate Cake. Cover that in Golden Oreo Buttercream and accent it with that supernatural reverse ganache drip and you’ve got something special for Halloween!

The Frankenstein Cake
You’ve asked so we’re making this available for a very limited time! The Frankenstein Cake is a Halloween wonder featuring three layers of Chocolate Cake, a ridiculous amount of Cookies & Cream Buttercream, and M&M’s found in-between all the goodness, or badness depending on your perspective. Don’t forget that upset down dripping chocolate ganache! How do we do it? Dark magic, of course.
